Ash Jewellery, a very personal keepsake

Ash Jewellery, a very personal keepsake

Ash jewellery

These days, you don't always have to keep the ashes of a deceased person in an urn. In fact, you can also choose to wear a small amount of ashes in an ash jewellery. Ash jewellery is jewellery specially designed to hold a small amount of ash, a lock of hair, earth or a piece of cloth. This way, you can carry your loved one with you at all times.

What is ash jewellery?

Ashes jewellery is jewellery in which you can store ashes, a lock of hair, piece of cloth or earth preserved from your deceased loved one. There are different types of ash jewellery, such as rings, charms, bracelets or pendants. At legendURN you will find a diverse range of ash jewellery.

Different types of ash jewellery

Our ash jewellery is available in various shapes and materials and can be worn by adults and children. Because we have a large selection, there is always something that suits you or your deceased loved one. We only use high-quality, durable materials so you can wear the jewellery for a long time.

We sell various gold ash jewellery such as ash pendants, rings and bracelets. Our gold ash jewellery is handmade by an experienced goldsmith and is available in white gold and yellow gold in 14 and 18 carats.

All silver ash jewellery is made of 925 Sterling silver. This means that the jewellery consists of 92.5% silver and the remaining 7.5% consists of an alloy to improve strength.

We also sell stainless steel ash jewellery. Due to its anti-allergic character and hardness, this material is very suitable for making ash jewellery. With this type of ash jewellery, you don't have to worry about it getting damaged or scratched, as it is a very durable material. We also have a number of products in our collection that are gold-plated. This gives you the luxury of gold at a competitive price.

How to fill an ashes pendant?

It is easy to fill the ash jewellery yourself. Most ash jewellery has a screw cap that you can easily open and close yourself. We always include a filling manual with every ash jewellery order, explaining step by step what to do. We recommend always gluing the jewellery to prevent the screw from coming loose. We also offer ash jewellery where the ashes are incorporated in the jewellery. The ashes are processed in these jewels by our goldsmith.

If you choose a piece of ash jewellery which you can’t fill yourself, legendURN offers you the option of sending a sealable bag (zip lock bag) with your order number and your name so our goldsmith/ jeweller can fill the jewellery for you.

Filling ash jewellery with a lock of hair, earth or piece of cloth

Sometimes it is not possible to use ashes for the ash jewellery, for example in countries where holding on to cremation ashes are prohibited. When that’s the case, you can choose to incorporate a lock of the deceased's hair, a bit of earth or a piece of fabric into the jewellery, for example.

It is also possible to personalise ash jewellery by having it engraved with a name, date or text, for example. We also have a number of jewels in our range that you can personalise by means of a fingerprint. This jewellery symbolises the bond with your loved one.
