Corten steel adult cremation urns for ashes

Sleek design characterizes these corten steel adult cremation ashes or funeral urns. Our urns are suitable for holding the full amount of ashes of an adult.

Weathering steel, often referred to by the genericized trademark COR-TEN steel, is a group of steel alloys which were developed to eliminate the need for painting, and form a stable rust-like appearance after several years exposure to weather. Weathering steel is not rustproof in itself. If water is allowed to accumulate in pockets, those areas will experience higher corrosion rates. Weathering steel is sensitive to humid subtropical climates, and in such environments, it is possible that the protective patina may not stabilize but instead continue to corrode. Therefore, we advise to not place the urns outside!

Maintenance of corten steel
CorTen steel does not require any treatment and is therefore extremely environmentally friendly. The coarse-grained patina is sticker-resistant, and any repairs or alterations to the CorTen steel structure will become invisible over time due to its natural oxidation.
